art therapy
This semester, we are hosting weekly virtual art therapy sessions with a licensed art therapist! Art therapy promotes healing and mental well-being through creative expression. Research shows that art therapy can encourage mental healing. Whether the person is creating art, listening, or seeing art, the person is establishing mental growth.
MEET OUR THERAPIST
“Has life been feeling overwhelming and hard to balance? Are you feeling isolated and in need of connection? My approach to therapy is rooted in connection, helping you find the resources and skills you already have available to you in order to help you find balance and a sense of calm in your life. With dual degrees and experiences in both art and behavioral therapy, I work from a problem-solving perspective. My aim is to help you feel less overwhelmed, which can be the root of anxiety, depression, and low-self-esteem. As an art therapist, I believe that art holds no judgements and can give us a new voice and form of expression.”
